Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt by Color with Rhyming Clues
Some Easter egg hunts can be brutal...but they don't have to be!
This egg hunt is designed to challenge groups to work collaboratively to find all the eggs. It can also be modified to be played by only one person.
It can be done outside or can easily be modified for an indoor hunt by selecting different rooms for each color. If you want to make an indoor hunt even more challenging, hide various colors in all rooms. Be creative and have fun!
When preparing supplies, gather solid colored eggs that are white, black, blue, orange, pink, green, yellow, and purple. Look over the clues and determine which clues to leave out if you do not have all the colors listed.
Directions
If you plan to have teams competing against each other, determine how many eggs of each color that you have and divide each of those numbers by the number of teams. Record those numbers and divide by the number of teams. For example, if you have 10 orange eggs, each team should collect 5 orange eggs, etc. Give each team the list of how many eggs of each color they should collect.
Provide directions to participants before starting...
Decide if you are going to give points, such as 10 points for each egg collected correctly or if you are going to have rounds in which the team that finds all of their designated eggs first wins that round. Decide if you plan to subtract points for incorrect colors or if a team collects more than their allotted number.
Hide the eggs while the egg hunters are doing something else.
Have the teams pull up this game and click on the first graphic below to enlarge.
The team must determine which color to hunt (and how many of that color if you have teams) before they can begin collecting eggs. The colors will rhyme with the word in blue on each slide. Provide hints if needed. The correct answer follows each clue on the next slide.
Have the team work together to gather only eggs of that color until they have found all of them.
I hope you enjoy this Easter egg scavenger hunt by color with rhyming clues!
